Description
We are currently seeking a Senior Assessment Officer to support with the ongoing development of tools to support the acute needs analysis workstream at the global level.

Missions
The Senior Assessment Officer (SAO) – Acute Needs Analysis will support the Specialist leading the workstream in developing, implementing, and rolling out the Minimum Viable Analytical Product (MVAP) for Acute Needs. This product is designed to provide concise, actionable analysis of acute humanitarian needs across geographies and population groups within crisis settings.
The SAO will support in analytical design, country implementation, review processes, and synthesis of global findings. The position requires strong analytical capabilities, comfort with complex data environments, and familiarity with needs analysis frameworks.
Profil
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in humanitarian assessment, analysis, M&E, or related fields.
Master’s degree or equivalent in humanitarian affairs, international development, social sciences, or a relevant discipline.
Technical skills
Strong analytical skills, including experience with needs assessments and structured analysis.
Proficiency in Excel essential; familiarity with PowerBI, STATA, R, or other analytical tools is an asset.
Familiarity with inter-agency needs analysis processes, including HPC and JIAF frameworks.
Communication and organizational skills
Strong writing and presentation skills, including experience producing clear briefs and engaging external stakeholders.
Capacity to manage complex workflows and meet tight deadlines in multicultural environments.
Fluency in English required; additional languages (e.g., French, Arabic) are an asset.
